REVEAL was mostly recorded between May and July 2019 in my parked 2007 Honda Accord and home in Foster City, CA. "Falling Rain" was deleted from bandcamp but recovered for this album, so it's a bonus. "Orokana Otoko" was originally conceived for a Japanese language project called Yowamushi, but I included it anyway. 4 songs from the Letters Never Sent demo recorded with Brad Lipman in 2017 are also included, because I like them and felt they deserved to be on an official release. "Happy" was recorded live at the Stork Club in Oakland by the radical sound girl Honey in front of a small but receptive audience.

While recording this album, I managed to overcome a years-long depression thanks to mostly my own efforts to investigate the benefits of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, growth mindset, and other related approaches to wellness. I'd like to thank Jason V for his direct support and Miguel Chen for the perspectives offered in his book I Wanna Be Well. May you all be well!
